There is almost little to no information on the Brit-Funk band Funkapolitan but here is what we know. They were an 8 piece multi-ethnic band from London UK. Their only album was produced by August (Kid Creole) Darnell. The album sleeve was designed by Peter Saville (Factory Records). They were one of the early UK acts to introduce rapping in their music (not great, but not totally terrible). They performed on the most energetic episode of Top Of The Pops. They supported The Clash on their US Tour in 1981. The single “As The Time Goes By” is our favourite song of all time.
