“Done By The Forces of Nature” is the second album by the Jungle Brothers (the instigators of The Native Tongues movement: De La, Tribe, etc.) and sits alongside De La’s “3 Feet High and Rising” and The Beastie Boys’ “Paul’s Boutique” as one of the great collage masterpieces with a density of classic funk, disco, and soul samples. 

Although the album leans heavily into afrocentricity  it never loses the sense of fun like on the single “What U Waiting’ 4” (also our favourite rap video) with a simple message “If you paid to go to the club, just remember to dance.”
